The ADVANCE Journal has officially launched! We are currently receiving our first manuscript submissions, and soliciting additional manuscripts for our inaugural issue.

Mission

The mission of the ADVANCE Journal is to provide a forum in which to publish peer-reviewed scholarship related to ADVANCE programs and outcomes, including scholarly research articles addressing empirical, theoretical, and conceptual work, program evaluation and assessment reports, critical reviews of the literature and resources, and letters to the editor, as well as reader article responses.

NSF ADVANCE

The National Science Foundation's ADVANCE program is aimed at increasing the participation and advancement of women in academic science and engineering careers, thereby developing a more diverse science and engineering workforce. In 47 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, more than 160 different institutions of higher education and non-profit organizations have received ADVANCE grants totaling over $270M between 2001 and 2016. The ADVANCE Journal was launched and is currently operated by OREGON STATE ADVANCE, a 2014 ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant awardee.
