Jillian N. Reading is a doctoral candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln within the Department of Educational Administration. Jillilan's purpose in conducting this research is to investigate how early-career academic women at research-intensive institutions make decisions surrounding their usage of family formation policies. Ultimately, Jillian hopes to develop a theory of this process to understand how decisions evolve, and assist in keeping academic women at the assistant professor level who wish to be mothers in the academic pipeline.

To participate in this study participants must:

• Be assistant professors on the tenure-track
• Identify as women
• Have birthed a biological child or adopted a child in the last 2 calendar years
