At the request of leaders in the division of University Relations and Marketing, the summer version of the seminar for STEM administrators and faculty was adapted to address institutional marketing and communications structures and practices. The addition of this seminar was a critical component of addressing the symbolic level of the institutional system, which includes the role of ideologies, especially as they take shape in language and stereotypes, in reproducing hierarchical power.
