Congratulations to Dr. Irem Tumer for her appointment as Oregon State University's interim Vice President for Research effective October 29, 2018! Dr. Tumer is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Associate Dean for Research, and a graduate of the ADVANCE Seminar. "Dr. Irem Tumer's research focuses on providing systematic and mathematical methods to design, model, and analyze highly complex and integrated systems.Her extensive experience at NASA and in the Engineering Design community has led to over 100 publications. Prior to accepting a faculty position at OSU, Prof. Tumer led the Complex Systems Design and Engineering group in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA Ames Research Center, where she worked from 1998 through 2006 as Research Scientist, Group Lead, and Program Manager." Congratulations Dr. Turmer!
